If your prescription has changed but your frames are still suitable, reglazing allows you to replace the lenses without buying a completely new pair of glasses. Your existing lenses are removed, and new prescription lenses are cut and fitted to your frames.

Reglazing means replacing the lenses in an existing pair of glasses while keeping the original frame. It can be useful when your prescription changes, your existing lenses are damaged or scratched, or you want to change the type of lenses fitted to a frame you already use.
The old lenses are carefully removed before new lenses are prepared to match the frame and prescription. Measurements and fitting requirements are checked so the finished lenses sit correctly within the frame.
Not every frame will be suitable for reglazing. Age, condition, damage and frame construction can all affect whether new lenses can be fitted safely. Frames are therefore checked before the reglazing work is completed.
The process begins with your current prescription and the frame you would like to reglaze.
Once the frame is received, its condition is checked for cracks, worn joints or other damage that may affect the fitting process. If the frame is suitable, the existing lenses are removed and the measurements required for the replacement lenses are confirmed.
The new lenses are then prepared according to your prescription and selected lens type. They are cut to fit the existing frame before being fitted and checked.
Once the work is complete, the glasses are cleaned and prepared for return.

Varifocal lenses provide a gradual transition between distance, intermediate and near vision without a visible dividing line.
Different lens materials and thickness options may also be available according to the prescription. Higher-index lenses can be considered where a thinner lens is required, while other materials may be suitable for different everyday uses.
Lens enhancements can also be selected where available, including anti-reflective coatings, scratch-resistant treatments, photochromic lenses and tinted options.
