Rigid sides and poorly balanced fronts can create pressure during long workdays, commutes, and screen sessions. Sunoptic AC36 Prescription Glasses address these issues with a sturdy rounded plastic frame that supports the lenses evenly. Two metal dots at each outer edge add attractive retro detail without interrupting the smooth profile, while the purple colour gives the frame a defined finish for daily wear.

Buy New Specs prepares every pair around your supplied prescription. The base package includes the frame, precision-crafted 1.5 index lenses, a protective case and a cleaning cloth for clear vision, secure storage and routine care. Your completed glasses are checked before dispatch and delivered straight to your door anywhere in Ireland.

Why Choose Sunoptic AC36 Prescription Glasses?

The rounded construction combines visual balance with dependable lens support. We source this model for stable daily wear and straightforward maintenance.

  • Full plastic rims hold the lenses securely and help preserve alignment during normal handling.
  • The rounded profile softens angular facial lines and provides useful coverage without a heavy front.
  • Two metal dots on each side add retro character and a neat finish near the hinges.
  • Smooth contact surfaces help the frame rest evenly across the bridge and temples.
  • The purple colour adds clear character while remaining suitable for professional appointments, commuting and casual use.

How Do Sunoptic AC36 Prescription Glasses Fit?

Sunoptic AC36 Prescription Glasses use rounded geometry to spread weight across the bridge, front and sides. Correct sizing remains important because your bridge shape, temple width, and ear position affect stability.

  • A balanced front helps reduce concentrated nose pressure during reading and screen work.
  • Aligned sides distribute contact along the temples rather than gripping one area.
  • Rounded rims provide broad visual coverage within controlled proportions.
  • Secure hinges support repeated opening and closing during active routines.

Once fitted correctly, the frame should remain steady when you walk, look down at documents, or change tasks. If it feels tight or slips, our team can advise on suitability and adjustment.

What Lens Options Are Available for Sunoptic AC36 Prescription Glasses?

Your lens choice should match the distances covered by your prescription. Prescription reading glasses support books, paperwork and handheld devices, while long-distance lenses suit driving, presentations and outdoor vision. Prescription varifocal glasses provide a progressive change between distance, intermediate and near zones. Prescription bifocal glasses use distinct sections for distance and close work.

We can prepare lens enhancements around your routine. Anti-glare prescription glasses can reduce distracting reflections from headlights, office lighting and screens, while prescription glasses with blue light filter may suit extended digital-device use. Buy New Specs uses your prescription details to prepare the selected 1.5 index lenses for the frame.

How Does This Model Support Everyday Use?

The rounded lens shape creates a balanced field of view for driving, commuting, meetings and desk work. Full rims protect the lens edges, while the plastic front is easy to wipe with the supplied cloth. For changing conditions, prescription glasses that react to light can darken under suitable ultraviolet exposure and return towards clear indoors.

Our plastic frame prescription glasses provide solid colour and smooth contact surfaces, while metal frame prescription glasses offer a slimmer profile. For higher-movement activities, sports prescription glasses use different retention and protection features.

The purple rounded shape can work across our men’s prescription glasses and women’s prescription glasses selections according to personal fit and style preference. If you already own a suitable frame, reglazing prescription glasses may allow new lenses to be fitted after the frame has been assessed for condition and compatibility.

How to measure your glasses

The best guide for you is to look at your current spectacles. The measurements in millimeters can usually be found on the inside of the frame, on the arm or on the nose bridge. They will look something like this: (example) - 46-20-135

If the measurements are worn away then a mm ruler can be used to measure your old glasses.

1st number - Lens width: Related to your eye size, and typically in the range of 46 (small) to 56 (large) (where the lens is)

2nd number - Bridge width: This is where you nose sits. Typically this is between 15 and 20.

3rd number - Side Length: 130 (short), 135 (medium) and 140 (long) (from lens to the end piece of your ear) We don't quote this number as a high percentage of frames are size 135
